Immanuel Lutheran Playschool, Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, & Daycare is owned and operated by Immanuel Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod, Columbus, Nebraska, for the benefit of families and children ages 3-12. Playschool -- Three-year-old children are allowed to enroll in the Playschool which offers two-day (Tuesday and Thursday) and three-day (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) morning sessions.  Children must be three years old by the first day of school in order to enroll.  Preschool -- The Preschool enrolls four- and five-year-old children in a choice of a two-, three-, or five-day morning class. Children must be four years old by the first day of school in order to enroll in Preschool classes.  Pre-Kindergarten -- This class is for four- or five-year-old children who need another year before entering Kindergarten or those children who are ready for a more challenging academic environment. It is recommended that the child has had at least one year of prior school experience and is four years old by May of the coming school year.
Times for Playschool and morning Pre-Kindergarten are 8:30-11 a.m. Preschool is 8:15-10:45 a.m. Afternoon Pre-Kindergarten is 12:15-2:45 p.m. Immanuel Lutheran Preschool has been voted "Best In Columbus" for the past 5 years.
Daycare -- Immanuel Lutheran Daycare is in operation from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays all year with few exceptions.  Immanuel Lutheran Daycare is licensed by the state of Nebraska, Department of Health and Human Services, to serve youngsters from age three through age twelve. In addition to state-level licensing and approval, Immanuel Lutheran Preschool and Daycare received full accreditation in August 1995 through National Lutheran School Accreditation in St. Louis, MO. Re-accreditation was received in 2002. Immanuel Lutheran Daycare has been awarded "Best In Columbus" for the past 8 years in the child care category. Our Goal: To provide an environment of love and security where children ages three through twelve can grow spiritually, physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually. Our Philosophy: Christ is present each day in Immanuel Lutheran Preschool and Daycare through the words, actions, and caring concern of the teachers, aides, and others associated with the program.  We strive to help each child establish a personal relationship with Jesus.
